Seems that 2012 is the ‘Year of the Desert’ for me with my pending weekend visit to the AWESOME ART SWAPMEET hosted by Amy Yao and High Desert Test Sites, being my forth visit to the Mojave this year. This is the 6th year of the Art Swap Meet and this go-around it is held @ The Sky Village Swap Meet in Yucca Valley, which is worth a visit on it’s own. In addition to a great desert bazaar, the location so happens to be where swap meet proprietor Bob Carr has constructed (and re-constructed) the Crystal Cave which is everything you could want and more. While you are out in the area, why not stop by and visit the amazing Noah Purifoy Site -and- have a sound bath at The Integratron. Here’s to the restorative powers of the desert!
